Annual membership subscription is £8 - no entrance fee.

'Rectilinear Landscapes in Somerset and Dorset (with particular reference to Tintinhull)'

Special Meeting 2pm (contact tlhg@mac.com for details)
We will look at the 18c/19c maps we have (including the ones we have added detail to) and what they tell us about Tintinhull at that time. The objective is then to take this forward together with the 18c/19c leads in the VCH of Tintinhull  to eventually build up a picture using the VCH as the spine, just as we did for the TLHG publication "Presence of the Past"

'Montacute Guided Walk' 1.5 to 2 hours

Starting from Montacute House at 6.30pm. Taking in the Park, visiting the site of Montacute Mill and then over to the Village Pound area, across to Ladies Walk and through the woods to Hollow lane. Down the lane towards the village and turning left into the area of the Abbey, with its pond and dove cote etc. and then left behind St Michael's Hill towards Hedgecot Hill, around St Michael's and back into the village. Finishing with a drink at the King's Arms and if possible take a look in St Catherine's Church.

Beaminster Gallery Quire

'West Gallery' music directed by Ronald Emett
in St. Margaret's Church, Tintinhull at 7.30pm
An c18th costumed quire of twenty or so singers and musicians perform a light hearted and amusing concert including traditional village church music with readings, and anecdotes of times past.

Tickets will be sold for this event from October
