The Church, parts of which date back to the 12th century, stands in the historic heart of the village with much early fabric having largely escaped the period of Victorian restorations. The fabric and written records give an insight to both the ecclesiastical and civil development of the parish since medieval times. These records include the most complete set of Church Wardens accounts in the diocese of Bath and Wells.
